The following links represent useful internet resources on native tribes and indigenous people of the Amazon Rainforest.  In addition to Amazonian natives, there are resources on indigenous people from the Andes Mountains.  It is important to understand that the Incas were dependent upon the Amazonian natives for coca, a plant that was critical for Inca religious ceremonies.  Archaeologists are discovering artifacts at Machu Picchu whose designs show the it was more closely aligned with Amazonian cultures than previously thought.
